Moonrise Kingdom

Anderson flirts with surrealism, but never gets Burtonesque, controlling his story with a firmer hand and to better effect. His situations might be bizarre, but the people in them are always painfully, wonderfully human. It's also a rare film - one you could watch with your grandmother or your grandchildren, with only a couple of moments where young eyes would have to be covered, and no real violence or swearing.

There is an overwhelming feeling of innocence and good will throughout.

I loved it from the opening frames, and it only got better from there.

"Moonrise Kingdom" is the type of movie that is charming for the soul and makes your brain happy in the process. All in all, it's just a heartfelt and well-written experience that will appeal to everyone.

Being Flynn

I'm happy to report that De Niro hasn't lost his chops. At least not quite.

Focus Features has released the poster and new images for Paul Weitz‘ dramedy Being Flynn. Paul Dano stars as a young writer who takes in his estranged father (Robert De Niro) when he finds him at a homeless shelter. The film is based on Nick Flynn‘s memoir Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, and also stars Julianne Moore, Lily Taylor, and Olivia Thirlby.

Go see "Being Flynn", you wont regret it!

Magic Mike

In Magic Mike, Channing Tatum’s pre-Hollywood experience as a male stripper has inspired not only one of his better roles but also arguably the raunchiest, funniest and most enjoyably nonjudgmental American movie about selling sex since Boogie Nights, its obvious if considerably darker precursor. Delivering what feels like a young director’s work and not that of a guy nudging 50, Steven Soderbergh taps into the jazzy erotic energy that put him on the map more than 20 years ago with Sex, Lies, and Videotape.

It might also be the first mainstream movie to feature a casual demonstration of a pump-operated penis enlarger (keep an eye on the left-hand margins of the widescreen frame), which should at least provide a talking point at the multiplex.

Some of the movie’s best moments are those in which Soderbergh's nimble camera -- he shot the film under his usual cinematographer alias of Peter Andrews and edited as Mary Ann Bernard -- looks on while the guys chill backstage at Xquisite, pumping biceps, mending thongs or doing shots to get into performance mode. This dialogue often has a semi-improvised feel, with Soderbergh eavesdropping on snatches of conversation in a style reminiscent of Robert Altman.

Impressively directed and superbly edited, this is a hugely entertaining drama with a strong script and terrific performances from Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey.

Unsurprisingly, Magic Mike shines brightest in the sequences on stage or behind the scenes.

While my guitar gently weeps

I don't know why nobody told you how to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps

Miss you like crazy

There's just no getting over you .

Be the one to guide me

Nobody makes me feel like you used to make me feel.

P.S- Don't miss a moment. You are wanted and needed here.

La délicatesse

The film, based on a novel by David Foenkinos (who directed along with Stéphane Foenkinos, his brother), has a few droll moments, the best of which involve Mr. Damiens. Barack Obama might be surprised to learn that a speech he gave during the 2008 presidential campaign — “This time we can face down those who say our road is too long, that our climb is too steep” — inspired a Swede living in France to go after a woman who was way out of his league. These sweet spots, though, don’t turn up nearly often enough, and what’s in between is thin stuff indeed.

Emotionally engaging French comedy-drama that ambitiously blends several   different tones and somehow pulls it off, thanks to confident direction, a sharp script and superb performances from Audrey Tautou and Francois Damiens.

"Unpredictable’’ is one adjective you could use to describe the new Audrey Tautou movie, “Delicacy.’’ Others might be “charming,’’ “offbeat,’’ “droll.’’ “Unfocused’’ and “underwhelming’’ also apply. A small, eccentric tale of amour lost and refound, the movie’s mostly about the joys of being in love with Audrey Tautou. Every man in the film immediately falls for her character, Nathalie, and at times the camera swoons as it looks at her. It is assumed you will feel the same, which may depend on how many times you’ve seen 2001’s “Amelie.’’

Come with me

Let love flourish through their mutual interests, their instant attraction to one another and the sparks that flew whenever they were in a room together.

P.S- I wish you can. And I miss your ginger hair and the way you like to dress.

I have a million things to talk to you about

All I want in this world is you. I want to see you and talk. I want the two of us to begin everything from the beginning.

I want love

And I think of all the things of what you're doing, and in my head I paint a picture.

It's coming around again

I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
So don't mind if I fall apart
There's more room in a broken heart

[I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game]

Slave to love

Although I have long term goals, I also have short term needs.

Happy Birthday America

That was there at my command

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless sky, my love
To the dark and the endless sky

The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hand
Well, like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
That was there at my command, my love

And the first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last 'til the end of time, my love
It would last 'til the end of time, my love

The first time ever I saw your face
Your face, your face, your face

Lucky in love

«...a maravilha que deve ser escrever um livro: a invenção dentro da memória; a memória dentro da invenção; e toda essa cavalgada de uma grande fuga, todo esse prodígio de umas poligâmicas núpcias, secretas e arrebatadas, com a feminina multidão das palavras (...)».

David Mourão-Ferreira

P.S- Wish you good luck.

Bum heart

My heart never tires
On having hope
Of one day been all it wants

My heart of child
Isn't only the memory
Of a happy woman figure

That passed through my dreams
Without saying goodbye
And has made of my eyes
An endless cry

My bum heart
Wants to keep the world
In me

My bum heart
Wants to keep the world
In me

P.S- Because I love you, that's why.
